The Credit Team - Property
John Punch – Senior Credit Manager, Property
John Punch joined GCC in 2006 and has since provided GCC clients with clear and practical solutions to their property finance requirements. He is a veteran of the commercial property mortgage market with over 30 years of credit experience within the Australian property industry holding various high level positions including Senior Manager Corporate Banking for the ANZ. Through his years in the industry John brings to the table a vast amount of experience required in the current market to get deals done.
Bryan Boyd – Senior Credit Manager, Property
Bryan has over 30 years experience in the banking and finance sector. During this time, Bryan has focused on property and construction finance dealing in all aspects from product development to asset creation. Bryan previously co-headed the Institutional Property division of St George Bank and he has also held various senior positions at institutions such as AMP Bank and GIO. Bryan brings to GCC an unparalleled depth of industry knowledge and experience in the commercial property and construction finance sector.
Byron Charalambous – Credit Analyst
Byron joined GCC in 2007 as a Credit Analyst. Prior to joining GCC he worked at Macquarie Bank in financial services. Byron is a graduate of Sydney University in Economics – majoring in Economics and Government where he was involved in an internship placement for an NGO, focusing on regulation. Byron is currently undertaking a Master of Business Degree at UTS.
Lana Kogan – Credit Analyst
Lana joined GCC in early 2006 as a Credit Analyst. Prior to working for GCC Lana worked in various roles in the mortgage industry and also the accounting industry. Lana is a graduate of Sydney University in bachelor of commerce majoring in law and accounting.

Bill Salouris – Sales Manager
Bill Salouris has been with Global Capital Corporation (GCC) since incorporation in 2001 and has been involved in the finance industry in Australia and abroad for well over 20 years. Bill holds a degree in Economics and Finance. Bill has specialised in project and infrastructure finance in South East Asia, as well as arranging foreign investment projects into the region. Under Bill’s management, GCC constantly reviews business practice and develops new products and procedures in the pursuit of the clients funding objectives without the “road blocks” that the traditional banking system throws up.
Matthew Silvester – Business Development Manager
Matthew Silvester has more than 25 years experience in senior management roles within the property finance lending and credit departments of the NAB and St.George Bank Groups. His core competencies include but are not limited to structuring and providing financial solutions for all types of property development and investment transactions. Matthew’s experience is backed by technical knowledge of the development industry gained from Valuation qualifications and a Masters Degree in Commerce (Property Development) that enables him to be an Associate of the Australian Property Institute for the past 16 years and more recently as an API certified Property Finance Practitioner.
Nick Missiris - Business Development Manager
Nick has over 20 years finance experience including banking and non-banking roles. Nick also has extensive working experience working with aggregators and their broker network discussing scenarios for commercial loans. He has also supplied training to brokers interested in learning more about the commercial lending arena.
Ahmad Gharib - Business Development Manager
Ahmad Gharib is degree qualified with an Economics & Finance degree. Ahmad has worked with various financial institutions initially as a Credit Analyst before being promoted to a senior Relationship Manager. Ahmad has extensive experience in Commercial & Constructions Loans as well as all facets of Retail & Commercial banking. Ahmad also offers Insurance Broking services predominately looking after Home Warranty and Construction Risk Insurance. Ahmad’s experience in Banking & Insurance makes him a valuable member of our team and he is available to meet and discuss with you your finance and insurance needs.
Shanker Ramakrishnan - Business Development Manager
Shanker Ramakrishnan is an experienced Corporate & Business Banking professional of 15 years, and has spent time working with the major Australian banks throughout his career including ANZ Bank, Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, St George Bank, and BankWest. Shanker is also a qualified Economist holding Bachelor & Master Degrees in Economics from Macquarie University.
He has extensive experience across a wide sector of industries and is particularly experienced in working with hotel and motel owner/operators, child care centre owner/operators, property investors, property developers, real estate agents, high net individuals and professionals, tradespeople, retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, importers and exporters, transport industry, freight forwarding agents, and waste management.
Suzy Vasilevski – Non NSW Brokers: Sales Administration
Suzy has been with Global Capital Corporation (GCC) since 2004 and has over the years help build a solid working relationship with our brokers nationally.
Nilesh Makani - NSW Brokers: Sales Administration
Nilesh has over eight years experience in the finance industry in the UK, as a commercial mortgage broker and financial advisor for well known companies where he brings valuable experience working within these roles. Nilesh graduated from the University of London in 2001 gaining a Bachelors degree in Physics with Business.

Geoff Cannings - Chief Financial Officer & Head of Business Finance
Geoff is a qualified accountant with over 30 years experience in this field. He has worked both here in Australia and overseas in London with companies such as: Lord Howe Island Board, DDB Needham Advertising Agency, Concord Advertising UK, Knight Frank Pty Ltd, FAI Insurance and State Rail Authority (SRA). Covering industries involved in advertising, shopping centres and property management, government bodies and financial services as Chief Financial Officer and Financial Controller. He also has considerable experience in the mortgage industry and heads up GCC’s business finance division.
